Our observations of clinical practice of some of the Dermatologists indicate that they combine Methotrexate in severity stage as a short-term therapy. It is better to be under some kind of a regular guidance and observation by a physician or a skin specialist for handling concurrent illness. In some cases there may be a need for antibiotics along with mild analgesic. Medical attention may be therefore helpful.

During acute stage of illness, application may be stopped and resumed thereafter once illness subsides. Concurrent illness is best treated under your guidance or a specialist.

When thick scales are present, one could Use Psorolin ointment or a combination of both. When the scaling is absent / minimal oil application alone is okay. Your clinical observation and patients response is in any case more important.

Occasionally after earlier steroidal treatment this phenomenon may occur. Gradual withdrawal from steroidal treatment is recommended before complete switch over to 777 oil / Psorolin. In acute stages, if there is a flare up, restrict application to 777 oil only under dilution with coconut oil. If there is an unlikely reaction that leads to inflammation, erythromycin, paracetmol and anti-allergens may be used under guidance.
Concurrent illness if any must be taken care and treated promptly.

Restarting could be done in phases with gradual withdrawal of the ongoing steroidal surface application treatment. To begin with upon withdrawal, pure coconut oil could be used for some time followed by 50% 777 oil / Psorolin and 50% coconut oil before changing to the presented concentration of the products

Medical advice on concurrent problems if any would help and may be necessary. In severity stages like erythroderma, psoriatic arthritis, fever etc, one should seek expert guidance. If you have access to good medical advice, it is always better.

No tests are required. Clinical diagnosis of the problem as Psoriasis by a trained physician is sufficient.
There is no need to monitor anything during the treatment. If your physician / skin specialist combines Methotrexate (Mtx) as co-therapy, monitoring of blood count, platelet count, liver function tests, kidney function test etc may be necessary as advised by the physician. However, self-medication with Methotrexate is NOT ADVISED.

If the depression were linked to the skin ailment, the confidence level and the mood would certainly improve with the disappearance of the clinical symptoms and postponement ol the recurrence on use of 777 oil.
