Research findings of - Kesh Raksha

Studies and evaluation done on Kesh Raksha presented here are proprietary formulation of Dr. JRK's Siddha Research and Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd

	Kesh Raksha hair vitalizer and Keshraksha gel, the hair care preparations of the company promotes hair growth by increasing the protein synthesis in the Dermal papila cells.
	The total hair count assay in Guinea pig model revealed that the oil and cream treatments significantly increases the hair growth, time of growth and hair durability (analysis of amino acid content of hair by HPLC).
	Studies on the level of mRNA sysntesis (corresponds to protein synthesis) in the matrix cells of the treated and untreated hair was conducted.
	An increased mRNA synthesis specific to Sonic Hedge Hog Gene(ShhcDNA) was recorded.
	We have used ShhcDNA as this gene was one the genes well studied and reported to be responsible for hair growth in pre-natal and post-natal stage.
	Results of the study revealed that Kesh Raksha enhances the anagen phase of the hair by increasing the protein synthesis in the matrix cells.
