DANO is scientifically evaluated and proven formulation. The anti-pityrosporum ovale activity of its ingredients Wrightia tinctoria and Hibiscus rosasinensis have been studied by Dr. J.R. Krishnamoorthy and Dr. S.Ranganathan (Consultant Scientists in Dr.JRK’s Siddha Research & Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, and Lecturer in Microbiology, The New College, Chennai, India) and results published in the Indian Journal of Dermatology Vol 45(3) in the year 2000.
 
The drug combination exhibited fungicidal activity as against P.ovale.
